Sale Sharks centre Johnny Leota is feeling confident ahead of the team’s trip to Worcester Warriors this weekend.
The Sharks travel to Sixways to face a side that are yet to win this season, but the Samoan international knows the Warriors will be desperate for glory.
“These guys are going to come at us hard, but we’re preparing for that this week,” said Leota.
“We need to right the wrongs we made last week and everything we’re doing is preparing us for Worcester. No matter who we played this week, we definitely need to up the bar.”
The Sharks are searching for their first away win of this season, and are also coming off the back of a home defeat to Gloucester last Friday.
Speaking of the squad’s recovery this week, Leota has said that it’s going well: “Everyone knows what we did wrong and we’ve worked on it this week. We’re ready to go.”
In order for the club’s form to improve, the 32-year-old highlighted the importance of playing at the right end of the field and finishing off their attacking moves.
“We’re building phases and getting in to their 22 and leaving with nothing, and that’s not where we want to be.
“It’s just a couple of communications errors we’re making. We’re breaking through teams so it’s just a case of finishing them off and racking up the points when we’re down there.
